About kaijulab
KaijuLab is an independent jewelry studio founded and run by me, Marco Gustinelli.
I design and craft handcrafted silver pieces using the lost wax casting technique — from the first sketch to the final polish.
Every creation is sculpted from scratch — no molds, no shortcuts — turning an idea into a physical, wearable object.
My journey began with origami, where I first learned the patience, precision, and sense of form that still guide my hands today. Over time, that passion evolved into sculpture and, eventually, into jewelry.
What makes KaijuLab different is the full commitment to craftsmanship:
Each piece is carved in wax by hand, cast in a specialized laboratory then refined, and polished in my workshop. No two creations are ever the same.
I draw inspiration from multiple sources — from Japanese folklore to tattoo art, pop culture, mythology, and the natural world.
These elements merge into unique talisman-like pieces that tell stories, channel energy, and carry personal meaning.
The Crafting Process
Every KaijuLab piece is entirely handmade
1. Wax modeling
Each design begins as a wax sculpture, shaped entirely by hand. This is where the form, energy, and detail are born — no molds, no machines.
2. Casting & refining
Using the lost wax casting technique, the wax model is transformed into solid sterling silver. The raw piece is then refined, shaped, and cleaned with care.
3. Finishing touches
After the final polish, the piece is ready — complete with its texture, character, and the small imperfections that make it truly unique.
